Michael is the strenght and conditioning coach/trainer to the current WBA Bantamweight Champion, current British Super Flyweight Champion and has been involved in the fitness industry as a competitor since 1994 and as a professional instructor since 2001 and as a personal trainer since 2009.

Profile Story

I first got involved in sports from an early age, as a toddler and young boy I was always full of energy, so to utilise the high energy in a more productive way my parents introduced me to the sports in my local area. Through the early years I drifted from sport to sport until I found boxing.

I started boxing at the age of 10yrs old. I had my first competitive boxing match, age 11yrs and since then the fire for sports has never stopped burning.

I have now been boxing competitively for 17yrs and still actively competing, coaching and heavily involved in the sport, I am the current strenght and conditioning coach/trainer to the WBA Bantamweight Champion and I regularly coach alongside the England coaching staff when coaching the western county selected team. Also I work alongside West Country Boxing, Bristol Boxing Gym Empire ABC and Minehead ABC.

Over recent years as I have noticed my outlook on health and fitness has changed. In the beginning I looked at fitness in relation to sport only. Where now since starting a family, steadily aging and after being involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in me suffering with a knee injury which required surgery. I have now found an extra love for health and fitness and the wide range of benefits it has to offer, ranging from injury rehab to simply becoming fit for life. Leading living and embracing a healthy nutritionally balanced lifestyle alongside being more active and following a regular fitness programme will lead to life becoming more enjoyable with reduced health risks higher energy levels in a more able body.
